Feeder Crickets, Worms, Rodents, Roaches, & More!
This category is your hub for feeder insects and frozen rodents-live crickets and worms, Dubia roaches, and pinky mice and rats. It’s built for keepers of insect-eating reptiles and amphibians (like leopard geckos, bearded dragons, chameleons and dart frogs) as well as snake keepers who use frozen-thawed prey. Bulk options with shipping included make it easy to keep regular feeders and occasional treats on hand.
For healthier meals, combine live feeders with a gut-load diet from Cricket & Roach Food and a dusting routine from Reptile Calcium & Vitamins. If you’re keeping a lot of insects ready to go, simple enclosures from Kritter Keepers & Cricket Containers help you store, feed and grab what you need quickly.
Choosing Feeders
-
Match the animal:
- Insect-eaters (geckos, dragons, chameleons, monitors) → crickets, mealworms, superworms, Dubia roaches.
- Tiny-mouthed species (small frogs, hatchling geckos) → smaller crickets and other small insects.
- Snakes → frozen pinky mice or rats in sizes that match the snake’s girth.
-
Match the size and appetite:
- Use pinheads and small crickets or small Dubias for juveniles and small species.
- Choose medium Dubias, superworms and larger crickets for adult or larger lizards.
- Bulk packs (500–1000+ insects) make sense if you’re feeding multiple animals or frequent eaters.
-
Staples vs. treats:
- Mealworms, superworms and Dubia roaches are common everyday feeders.
- Waxworms and larger roaches are richer and usually best as occasional treats or variety.
-
Micro-feeders & clean-up crews:
- Springtail and similar cultures (in the fruit fly/springtail/isopod group) are typically used as tiny feeders and bioactive “clean-up crew,” not main meals.
Key Product Types
Live insects & worms cover crickets, mealworms, superworms and waxworms in bulk quantities, forming the backbone of most insectivorous diets.
Feeder roaches (small and medium Dubia roaches, plus larger species like Madagascar hissing roaches) offer a high-protein, low-odor alternative to crickets that doesn’t climb smooth surfaces or fly.
Frozen rodents (pinky mice and pinky rats) serve snakes and other reptiles that take rodent prey, with tiered quantities so you can match your feeding schedule and freezer space.
