Light Fixtures
This category is for the fixtures that hold and direct your reptile’s lighting—linear terrarium hoods for tube bulbs and dome or deep dome fixtures for screw-in lamps. Use it once you know which UVB fluorescent or mercury vapor bulbs and which heat bulbs or ceramic emitters you’re running, and you need a safe way to mount them over the enclosure. Fixtures don’t create UVB or heat themselves; they make the bulbs you choose more effective and safer to use.
Match every fixture to your bulb type, length, and wattage so the lamp sits fully inside the reflector and, where needed, in a ceramic socket. Many keepers pair a linear hood for UVB with one or more domes for basking heat, then fine-tune temperatures with tools from Thermometers, Thermostats, and Timers and support long-term bone health with Reptile Calcium & Vitamins.
Choosing a Fixture

Layout: A simple, reliable pattern is one UVB hood over the warm half of the tank plus one or two domes over basking spots.
